TBIC Staff
The TBIC staff is committed to managing Checkoff dollars wisely and directing relevant, informative and cost effective events and activities to inform and educate consumers about the healthful benefits of beef. Lending continuity to the staff is our Accountant and Administrative Assistant, Nancy Waugh, who has been with the TBIC since it was established over 20 years ago. Joan Benton, Director of Industry Information, coordinates the Health and Education programs and Laura Upton, Director of Retail, also assists with administrative activities. Valerie Bass, Executive Director, administers the Beef Checkoff program for Tennessee overseeing finances, marketing plan development & implementation and represents the TBIC on local, state, and national committees.
